Project, Retail & Rework Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Project, Retail & Rework Lead within the Cabinet Assembly Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and continuous improvement of our cabinet assembly line processes. You will collaborate closely with leaders and employees within the Cabinet Assembly Department, and other departments and report to the Cabinet Assembly Department Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and verify model year change cabinets before introducing them to the assembly lines.
  • Ensure that all new cabinets meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new changes in preparation for model year changes.
  • Determine the average build time required for new assemblies, serving as a baseline for cabinet assembly line operations.
  • Ensure that all correct tools and equipment are available for employees before new assembly builds when required.
  • Train employees in the best practices for new process updates using the SOPs.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure accurate and up-to-date drawings are available for production.
  • Assist leaders and employees in identifying and resolving any cabinet-related issues that may arise during the production process.
  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance cabinet assembly line efficiency.
  • Participate in researching new products and processes to enhance cabinet assembly line operations.
  • Maintain a well-organized schedule for retail parts, projects, and rework to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensuring effective communication with the retail parts team to optimize operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Fill in for staff positions when the department experiences staff shortages to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Serve as a trainer, providing training and mentorship to new and existing staff for the proper procedure of using equipment and tools.

Do you:

  • Have the legal right to work in Canada.
  • Have the ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
  • Have knowledge and experience in using a computer and associated programs such as Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have proficiency in retail parts assembly, cabinet assembly and reworking cabinets.
  • Have a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Have a fundamental understanding of working with drawings.
  • Have the ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs.
  • Have knowledge of production processes.
  • Focus and inquire when necessary, and stay open-minded.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and understand information quickly.
  • Use information, insights and knowledge in a structured way to identify opportunities.
  • Work effectively and inclusively with a large range of people, both within and outside the department.
  • Demonstrate determination, resourcefulness and purpose to deliver the best results for
    Triple E.
